Student Loans Calculator
The following is a list of financial aid programs available at Divers Academy International if you quality. First, you will need to determine if you are Dependent or Independent based on the Department of Ed definitions:
•    If you are under 24 years old, single, with no children you would be
     considered Dependent.
•    If you are over 24 years old, or military or married, or support a child, you
     would be Independent.

Follow the chart below to see what you may apply for in Federal Student Aid. You will then be able to apply for the difference in a GAP loan. Most students will apply for both Federal student aid and GAP loans to cover the cost of training.

Pell Grant
A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid.

Stafford Loan Program Direct Student Loan (Subsidized and Unsubsidized)
Federal Stafford loans are fixed-rate student loans. Stafford loans are the most common and one of the lowest-cost ways to pay for school.

Loan to Parents (PLUS)
The Federal Parent PLUS Loans provide affordable financing to parents and guardians with good credit to cover educational expenses.

Gap Funding Loans
Personal loans are available through SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae Company, and HEASA sponsors NJ Class loans. These loans assist students with the training costs that Federal Financial Assistance will not cover.

Veterans Education Assistance (VA)
A variety of programs are available to eligible veterans. Call the financial assistance office for the necessary forms, or contact your local VA office for assistance.
