ABOUT ~ Training Environments
The Academy training facility is a safe, realistic open-water work-site environment, enabling students to gain technical skills and develop the professional and qualitative experience required by prospective employers. Our training provides quarry diving in our 32-acre warm-water, spring-fed quarry.
The Academy uses the same modern equipment found in the field to train and support the course of study. Our equipment includes: Superlite dive helmets, diver communication systems, recompression chambers, Miller Big 50 welding machines, underwater video systems, Deep Ocean Engineering ROV’s, Stanley hydraulic tools, mixed gas rack systems, hot water systems, HP compressors, LP compressors, and a 72-inch hyperbaric chamber with medical lock.
Dive training is performed from a large 115-foot by 40-foot diving barge, custom-designed and built for Divers Academy, that provides 25 dive stations with a retractable welding stage, and a Class II diving bell for mixed gas deep dives.
